2001 Outstanding Rural School District

Santa Fe R-X School District

April 19, 2006

The Santa Fe R-I School District is a small rural district located in parts of Lafayette and Saline Counties.  The communities served by the school district are Alma, Blackburn, Grand Pass, and Waverly.  The Patrons of the district have a great pride in their school and have come to expect a top-notch program.  It is often said that Success breeds success and pride develops from those successes.  For the past several years, the Santa Fe School District has experienced a great deal of success.  The philosophy of the Santa Fe community is that to be an "Outstanding School District," that the school district must stand head and shoulders in the areas of Academics, Extra/Co Curricular Activities and Parental Involvement.  Most recently the Santa Fe Elementary was recognized as one of twelve Missouri Gold Star/Blue Ribbon school.
